Singer-songwriter Danny Fishman is a name you’re going to be hearing a lot of in the coming months. With a new EP -  WHAT I MEANT TO SAY – and two incredible singles getting mega plays on Spotify and other streaming outlets, Danny is a throwback to singers who transported you to a different place each time you listened to one of their songs. “Flying Blind” is a folk-rock stomper and the quieter “Train Song” is a slice of songwriting that would make John Mayer jealous.

Since the EP went on Spotify, Train Song is closing in on 100,000 streams. Says Danny, “The inspiration for the song was agirl who I felt ‘stuck in love’ with. I knew being with her was bad for me, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave her. “If these trains are meant for leaving, why am I standing at the gate?” “

Danny performed on the Southwest Invasion’s emerging artist’s Homegrown stage in March and recently performed at Rockwood Music Hall for his EP launch.
