Earlier this year, Dashboard Confessional released Crooked Shadows, their first album in more than eight years. The result found Chris Carrabba writing highly personal songs (doesn’t he always?) and delivering new anti-hero anthems. ““Every album is personal, but as this album was coming together I realized…that ‘personal’ did not necessarily mean ‘mine.’ Suddenly, ‘Me’ became ‘We’ and that realization was empowering, comforting and terrifying all at once.” Shortly after the release, Chris headlined Southwest Invasion Day 1 with an unforgettable acoustic set.

After announcing the first leg of their “Summer After Ever” shows (August 3 to August 26 at the Asbury Park, NJ – Stone Pony Summerstage) Dashboard and co-headliners All Time Low have announced the second leg of their tour, which will kick off September 27 in Florida. They’re also headlining Emo Nite Day on October 13 in Los Angeles.

Music fans are in for a huge treat seeing this band live. Clash Magazine said in their recent review, “Though the unifying nature of Dashboard Confessional has always stemmed from Carrabba’s ability to lay bare his most intimate thoughts and feelings, and have them resonate with his fans, the spindly acoustic emo of previous releases has here blossomed into stadium-sized anthems.”
