Fara Coffee is family owned by fifth generation farmers. Our coffee is all Arabica beans, shade grown in the mountainous region of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Our four farms represent a tradition of skilled coffee cultivation, care of the environment and support of local communities. We take pride in overseeing every step of the coffee process, from the planting and hand picking in Nicaragua, to small batch roasting and packaging in Austin, Texas.
Established in 2010, Fara Foundation is an American non-profit based in Austin, Texas. Funded in part by sales of Fara Coffee, the Fara Foundation provides aid in four areas of assistance for Matagalpan families: health care, food assistance, educational opportunities and elder care.
Fara Coffee is excited to be a part of Southwest Invasion to highlight the partnership Fara Foundation established with Whole Planet Foundation. The two non-profits teamed up in February 2015 with the release of Fara Coffee's Foundation Roast. With each bag purchase, a portion of the sales is donated to both non-profits. The Foundation Roast is sold in Whole Foods Markets within the Southwest Region. Cup by cup you help us give!
